They will charge additional fees for animals who are pregnant or obese or those who have had a cesarean because they require more time and medical supplies.

East Bay SPCA - Oakland & Dublin

The East Bay SPCA has two facilities providing affordable spay and neuter surgery: The Oakland Spay and Neuter Surgery Center and the Tri-Valley Spay and Neuter Surgery Center in Dublin.

The Oakland facility is open Wednesdays through Saturdays by appointment only. They offer Saturday appointments every week in 2007. This is not a walk-in facility and the doors are locked at 8am and will not open again until the 3pm pick up time. Calls to the facility are usually returned within 24 hours. The Oakland Spay Neuter facility can be reached at (510) 639-7387.

The Tri Valley facility in Dublin is open Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment only. This is not a walk-in facility and the doors are locked at 8 a.m. and will not open again until the 3 p.m. pick up time. Calls to the facility are usually returned within 24 hours. Low Income Spay/Neuter Services & Prices

The East Bay SPCA offers reduced pricing to residents of Alameda and Contra Costa counties who can demonstrate financial need or hardship. This includes

  • Students
  • Individuals on any kind of government assistance (WIC, food stamps, disability, unemployment, Medical/Medicaid, etc.)
  • Low wage earners.

You will be required to provide proof of financial status and proof of residency in Alameda or Contra Costa county upon check in. To set an appointment using these guidelines, please inform the Clinic at the time you make your appointment so they can tell you what you need to bring in order to qualify.
