Oatmeal and Raisin ( Moreland)
Status:
Adopted on Mar 7 2010
Shelter of Origin:
Private Rescue, Moreland
We just found our forever home along with a SaveABunny alumni rabbit named Hazel! You may have heard about the Moreland large scale rabbit rescue effort in San Jose with over a hundred rabbits. Some of the rabbits had been shot at and the whole situation was quite sad. Well, the good news is that SaveABunny was able to take in the majority of those rescued rabbits (we're from there!) and provide medical attention and healing. Raisin was not injured, but I was. When I arrived at SaveABunny my leg had a badly healed break. I needed to have the bone shaved down and corrected. I am now doing GREAT!! I feel really good, hop just like new and you'd never know there was anything wrong with me. I love to play and binky just like any other bunny, so please visit us soon. The only piece missing in for our happily ever after is a forever home with you! |

Please visit me soon darling and let me show you my own very special brand of bunny love. |

We've been adopted...Yeah! I'm Peanut Butter, the PRECIOUS, spayed harlequin girl and my brother, Jelly, is an ADORABLE neutered little, cream colored, lop-eared bunny. We love each other very much and must be adopted together. We're quiet, sweet bunnies who love getting attention and being talked to by caring, gentle people. Waldorf (boy)
Status:
Adopted on Feb 15 2010
Shelter of Origin:
Marin Humane Society
I just found my forever home!
Hello. My name is Waldorf. I am a very handsome, neutered bunny who would really benefit from love and tenderness. I am sad and a bit cranky. I was surrendered to an animal shelter by people who didn't want me anymore. I lost my faith in humans. I would really benefit from connecting with people who love rabbits and want to help me trust people again. Just imagine how rewarding it will be to see me start to be happy and enjoying life again with binkies, snuggles and love for you! I hope you will visit me soon.

Mr. Bentley (boy)
Status:
Adopted on Feb 14 2010
I've been adopted!
Hi! My name is Mr. Bentley and I'm a very special, little guy. I am a rex, lionhead mix neutered boy with very plush fur and a funky, mini lionhead mane. Best of all, I'm a mellow, easy-going nice bunny. What's so special about being at SaveABunny is that every rabbit feels loved and special---for who they are, not if they are purebreds or not. So while I am a pretty cool breed of bunny, it's really personality and fit with your family that is most important. And if for some reason, I'm not your choice, I hope you will take the time to get to know the other wonderful SaveABunny rabbits who are eager to find their forever homes. |

Toldeo (boy)
Status:
Adopted on Feb 13 2010
Shelter of Origin:
Marin Humane Society
I just found my forever home along with one of my budddies from the Moreland rescue and a girl bun named "Puffy." Puffy is a cute, spayed lop girl who was adopted from SaveABunny several years ago with her brother. They were named Chip and Salsa. Chip recently passed away and after a period of mourning , Puffy, aka Salsa, was ready to find love again. Now she has a harem of bunny men to adore her! Hi! Holy Toledo! I'm an adorable, young little neutered guy. In addition to being a goofy, cute teenager I'm also a nice bunny. I prefer to live with other bunnies and am currently living in a large group with my friends. I need to be adopted with one of my friends or I might make a good companion for your spayed or neutered bunny. I was rescued as part of a large group of baby bunnies left in a box by the side of the road in Marin. Some of my brothers and sisters are also here at SaveABunny: Peeps,Filbert, Brie and Brulee. While there are several stories that try to explain the origin of the expression, “Holy Toledo,” no one has proven what it really is. |

Jingles and Jammy
Status:
Adopted on Feb 12 2010
Shelter of Origin:
San Jose Animal Services
Hello! We are Jingles and Jammy a bonded pair of sister bunnies who are about 1 years old. We love playing, snuggling up at night, interacting with the people and world, as friends and family. We’ve were found off of Highway 17 by a good samaritan who pulled over to rescue us from the cars on the highway. We were so hungry that she found us trying to tear open a little packet of ketchup that had been tossed on the side of the road. We wanted to be saved, so she was able to just easily swoop us u. We were brought to the shelter to be vetted and spayed. Our difficult past makes us really appreciate the good things in life. We love our toys like organic pine cones and willow rings. We enjoy foraging around in hay and playing pee-a-boo in little bunny cardboard hide-a-ways. Jingles is the bold one who loves to be petted and introduces herself right way. Jammy follows Jingles’ lead. Once Jammy sees that Jingles is getting a treat and petted, Jammy will join right in. We are super sweet and so ready to find that special someone who wants to love us. |

I have been adopted! I'm going to be a lucky spoiled bunny! I am a very sweet bunny with awesome hair and people really like me (I am a cuddle bunny!), but I don't get along with other rabbits. I am a rare bunny that would do best as a single bunny. Please consider me if you're looking for just one rabbit! I am waiting for you at the Oakland Animal Shelter, so no need to email or anything if you want to meet me, just come on down and visit! I am already spayed, so I could go home with you the same day. You can find directions and hours on our website. The adoption fee for a rabbit at Oakland Animal Shelter is $35. ----------------------------- All of the other bunnies were fine, but me. I can't remember exactly what happened to me, but I had bite wounds and abscesses all over my rear left leg and hip. I couldn't walk very well and my leg was very swollen and painful. At SaveABunny, I received antibiotics, pain medication, physical therapy and close monitoring of my health and comfort level. In a couple months, I was completely healed and ready for adoption...Yeah! My abscesses are completely gone, and I can run and hop and play just like any other bunny - there's no way to tell that anything ever happened. I'm so happy to be feeling better. Now all I need is to find my forever home! |

Tulip (girl)
Status:
Adopted on Jan 30 2010
Shelter of Origin:
Petaluma Animal Shelter
Tulip is a beautiful rabbit. She's grown more & more friendly since she's been at the shelter. She loves to show you how happy she is out of her cage by binkying, ear flapping constantly & laying long on her belly right next to you. After exploring her new place, she loves to be petted. Come visit her at the Petaluma Shelter. ***I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!!!*** Here's my story from my shelter listing on bunspace: Hi I'm Tulip! Much is unknown about my past. I came to the shelter around June 2009 with another female rabbit. She was adopted quickly. My Bunny Hugger, Cathy tells me I've blossomed nicely since I've been here. I like to show her how happy I am whenever I'm let out. I binky about 2 ft high & flap my ears around. Sometimes I just jump from a standing position. Since, I'm a bigger girl, I kinda get tired then I just lay long on my belly next to Cathy so she can stroke me. When I first got here I wouldn't let anyone pet me. I didn't like it at all. Eventually, I got the idea that being petted isn't so bad. (Maybe the spay had something to do with it too.) Sometimes, I'll toss the paper towel roll just to show off how fun it is. I would really like to go to a home where I have room to run, binky, or stretch my legs either in an x-pen or the run of the house. Please, no small cage or hutch for me. Here's Bunny Hugger Cathy to say a few word: Tulip was named by a little boy who thought she was a pretty girl like a flower. She truely has come a long way since she's been dropped off at the shelter. In the beginning I would have to hold her for 20 minutes on my lap to let her know that human touch was okay & she would be shaking. After weekly visits since July 2009, she has warmed up to me. She allows me to pet her on the floor & she shows me how happy she is to be out of the cage. She may want to be an only rabbit in the home although, I'm hopeful she is just waiting to the right mate. |
Doodles and Squiggles
Status:
Adopted on Jan 24 2010
Shelter of Origin:
Private Rescue
Hi! We are Doodles and Squiggles. I’m Doodles with white dot on the nose and white paws and Squiggles has a left white ½ collar. We are two very sweet bunny boys. Smallish in size and about 1 year old. We are so glad that we were rescued from the Moreland Woods (MRCAR Rescue). The two of us are the best of friends and don’t want to be apart. Our foster parents have held us and cuddle us. Oh, we really like that! We can enjoy being loved for a long time. We enjoy exploring and are every curious. We really like to eat our fresh timothy hay, pellets and veggies. A little bit of carrot sends us to heaven and back. My friend Squiggles has a well healed old injury to his back paws. You can barely see it now. He sustained this injury while trying to escape from someone trying to hurt him in the old days at Moreland! Good thing he got away. He’s my best friend. It’s well healed and doesn’t stop him from keeping up with me when we jump and run. Our foster parents think we are really sweet bunnies. Binkies, |
Cyan (girl)
Status:
Adopted on Jan 23 2010
Shelter of Origin:
Humane Society of Silicon Valley
I've been adopted along with Atom!
Some shades of color close to cyan in the cyan color range are baby blue, teal, turquoise and aquamarine. I was given my name because of my exquisite blue eyes. With my snow white fur and dramatic blue eyes I am a very pretty, spayed little dwarf girl. I'm about a year old. My nature is to be a bit shy and skittish, though sweet, and I would prefer to be adopted to a quiet , restful home. Maybe you'd like to adopt me with one of my rabbit friends?!
